Basic Life Support for healthcare providers
Christine Oldenburg, RN, an American Heart Association Instructor, teaches Pulse CPR Basic Life Support courses to the standard Oklahoma hospitals, clinics, and credentialing offices expect. The class takes 3 to 4 hours. Choose initial or renewal tracks, including group sessions at your facility.
What you will be able to do
- Perform high-performance BLS with closed-loop communication.
- Apply current ECC algorithms for adult and pediatric emergencies.
- Lead or participate in a resuscitation team with clear roles.
- Complete skills testing required for hospital credentialing.
- Receive a provider certification card suitable for privileging files.
Class flow
1. Basic Life Support
Adult, child, and infant high-quality CPR, AED, bag-mask, and team dynamics. Initial and renewal options.
2. Skills practice
Measured manikin time, two-rescuer cycles, and AED prompts until the skill is automatic.
3. Facility groups
We schedule around night shift, float pools, and privileging deadlines at your clinic or hospital.
Questions about this course
Do I need to complete prework?
BLS may include a short online module depending on the track. We send links as soon as you are enrolled.
Can expired cards still renew?
If your BLS card is recently expired, we can often place you in a renewal-length session. Cards expired for a longer period may need the full initial course.
Need this training at your Oklahoma workplace?
Six or more students usually makes an on-site session faster and more cost-effective than sending people to the classroom.
